Shelby County Schools adopted The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. Commodity/Service Code listing as the means by which we classify all vendors and contractors in our files. If your company has been certified by the Uniform Certification Agency as a minority and/or woman owned business enterprise, please indicate by listing your certification number.
The Shelby County Board of Education continues to operate under a procurement initiative for minority and/or women-owned businesses. It is the policy of Shelby County Schools to encourage and promote on an inclusionary basis bidding and contracting opportunities for all individuals and/or organizations, without regard to race, color, nationality, physical challenge or gender. During the evaluation process or after an award of any project, Shelby County Schools reserves the right to request documentation from any contractor/vendor regarding its minority participation.
